The Christ Conscious Shamanic Woman possesses spiritual gifts. The topic of how to awaken, discover, use these gifts in a Christ conscious way is the topic of many pages in my forthcoming book and I will be posting several more times about it to keep each one digestible.
When discussing spiritual gifts, many refer to those mentioned in scripture, such as the list Paul shares in 1 Corinthians 12. Verses 5-11ish comprise the short list, then he goes on about how each of us a member of the body of Christ. The part I like best is after v 23. 23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. 24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked: I think that in the context of spiritual gifts, he is referring to the fact, that those of us who have “lacked” or in other words, been through hell and crawled out, often develop many spiritual gifts. One could say the opposing wind takes us higher. In verse 25, Paul explains that this is so that we, as a body are more able to care for each other. Perhaps because those who have “lacked” or had less honorable circumstances (i.e. trauma) often have more compassion and awareness of others and how to succor them. In verse 31, Paul says, “Covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet I show unto you a more excellent way.” Clearly there are some translation issues as covet is not likely the most accurate word. Here’s my translations of the verse: Seek earnestly the best gifts, remembering for what they are given. In addition to those listed in the scriptures. There are many other spiritual gifts. Some you may not have even thought of as spiritual gifts. Here are a few to ponder (in no particular order and capitalized seemingly at random).
Just to name a few. I haven’t even mentioned all the advanced yogic siddhis. Siddhis are essentially supernatural gifts or powers that are the products of yogic advancement. Such powers as teleporting, invisibility, and much more. But I will save that mind-explosion for another post. For now, the above list is meant to inspire introspection, prayer, and self-inquiry. Such as: Who am I? What are my gifts? What gifts do I feel almost jealous of in others? What am I to do with this information? Enjoy! I have chosen to publish this book and website/blog under my first name only. Felice is the name my mother gave me. No other name matters for now. Within it is light.
I have been blessed to be part of 12-step programs in my life and in them I learned that anonymity is a spiritual principle. The idea of a level playing field where all are there for the same reasons (a spiritual solution to a common problem) is very powerful and liberating. It allows us to place principles above personalities. There is no dominance. It doesn’t matter what one’s profession is or education level. All are valued as children of a divine creator. Some might say I'm hiding. I’m not. But I’m not interested in feeding my ego either. I have learned that EGO stands for one thing: Edging God Out. I am writing this book because I adore my beloved Creator and because I am a shaman who loves to capture words from other realms. I have hopes that it will bring liberation to women in various circumstances. If someone needs to find me for professional reasons, I’m sure they will be able to. I’m not hard to find if it’s God’s will. On the other hand, to some people I am completely invisible. This is a unique gift I prayed for and received. I hope my words will reach people by “attraction rather than promotion.” Also, you are invited to “take what you like and leave the rest.” |
